Language Acquisition Day at the European School

Within celebrations of the IB’s 50th anniversary, the European School organized Language Acquisition Day on April 24, 2018. The day started with laughter – the European School students were greeting parents and teachers at the door, handing out chocolate, candy and sweets.

Georgian Program grade 9-10 students opened the celebration with a joint class in German, French and Russian languages.

IB MYP grade 8-9-10 students organized “We Are Global Citizens” flash mob in the school’s courtyard.

The school hosted various interesting projects and open lessons: “The Weather & the Seasons of the Year,” “Discover IB,” “Let’s Be Kind,” “Literary Game,” etc. Our special guest, Professor Levan Tsagaereli, delivered a lecture on Postmodernism and German Literature.

IB PYP grade 5 students ended Language Acquisition Day with their skits and sketches in Russian, German and French Languages in the school’s main hall.
