Since the years of 1986-1991, while Ketevan Nachkebia was studying at the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, faculty of Biology, she has been working at different scientific-research labs, including: Laboratory of Photosynthesis at Tbilisi State University, Laboratory of  Gene Expression at Aarhus University (Denmark) and Laboratory of Neurochemistry at the Beritashvili Institute of Physiology, where she defended her dissertation in 2005 and received PH.D. in Biology. At the same time, she started teaching, in particular, she taught Biochemistry and Molecular Biology  at “AIETI” Medical College and “AIETI” Medical Institute.

From 2010, Ketevan Nachkebia continued her pedagogical work in International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program at the European School, where she became familiar with the principles of concept-based teaching in context.  She believes that learning is not a certain age-specific activity, but a lifestyle. She constantly  becomes closely acquainted with modern educational approaches, is passionate about those educational initiatives that are internationally accepted as tools of becoming future leaders and active members of the society and tries to engage the students of the “European School”  in related activities.

Since 2017, Ketevan Nachkebia is the Head of Public Relations and Strategic Communications Department. In this field her main principle is to transform PR from providing the society with information into relationship building.
