#Give A Book

April is a book-giving month, and April 23 – is World Book and Copyright Day, a global celebration of the joy of reading, the power of books, and the importance of protecting the rights of authors.

 The European School celebrated this day with various events.

  • Giorgi Kekelidze – representative of the Society for Spreading Literacy and Biblusi, talked to students about the importance of giving books to each other.
  • Students gave books to classmates.
  • Children collected books and donated them to the village Karbi school.
  • Calligraphers of the Georgian Calligraphers Association conducted a calligraphy master class for our students.
  • Lado Zirakishvili – an Arabic language philologist, talked to students about the importance of the mother tongue.
  • Philologist Nana Mrevlishvili met high school students and discussed the topic Old Georgian Manuscripts.
