World Book and Copyright Day

In 1995, April 23rd was announced by UNESCO to be World Book and Copyright Day. Each year, on 23 April, celebrations take place all over the world in over 195 countries and in Georgia as well to promote the enjoyment of books and reading.

This year, more than ever, in a situation where children have a limited chance to spend their time outside, the power of books is leveraged to expand students’ horizons, while stimulating their minds and creativity.

The European School students share their favorite books with each other online. To celebrate Book Day the ES offers Georgian and English audio books to its students.
