5C Fantasy Book Project: The Legend of the Dragon Slayer

For the past five weeks, our 5C students have been on an incredible creative adventure, becoming real authors! As part of our Book Project, each student created their own unique fantasy character, carefully thinking about their personality, strengths, weaknesses, and special powers.

Next, the class worked together to design a magical setting for the story. They imagined an entire kingdom, gave it a name, and even drew a detailed map to show important places in their fantasy world. Once the characters and setting were ready, the real writing began!

Working collaboratively, the students wrote a 16-chapter fantasy book filled with adventure, mystery, and teamwork. Throughout the process, they practiced creativity, planning, editing, and cooperation skills.

The project ended with a special assembly presentation. We invited all PYP students and parents to attend and celebrate the young authors’ hard work. The students proudly shared their journey and introduced their fantasy world to the audience.

To make the achievement even more meaningful, six printed copies of the book were officially donated to our school librarian. Now, our story will be available for everyone in the school community to read and enjoy.

We are incredibly proud of our young writers and can’t wait to see what stories they create next!
