Language and Literature Day at the European School

Within celebrations of the IB’s 50th anniversary, the European School organized Language and Literature Day on April 25, 2018.

They day started unusually – students, dressed up as literary characters, filled the school hallways with laughter and joy as they greeted parents and teachers.

The school hosted various literary events, projects, and open lessons.

Georgian Program Grade 8 students presented their project “I Don’t Write Poetry, Poetry Writes Me,” and discussed poetry and its elements. Grade 6 students’ project “Greetings to Abkhazia” proved to be equally compelling and informative.

American High School Grade 10 students discussed famous Georgian proverbs and their meanings, whereas Georgian Program students got together in the IB Library and exchanged their views on Grigol Orbeliani’s poetry.
