The Knowledge Cup: A Young Learner’s Big Idea
At just Grade 5, Davit Natroshvili has shown that great ideas have no age limits! With creativity, initiative, and a passion for learning, Davit initiated and helped create the Knowledge Cup Competition for students in Grades 4-5, together with Ms. Tamuna Merkviladze and Ms. Anastasia Abdushelishvili.
The Knowledge Cup unfolded in two rounds. In the first round, students from each class competed in a Kahoot! quiz created by Davit himself. Based on their performance, students were selected to represent their classes in the next stage. The competition then culminated in a special school event, where the winners of the first round teamed up and competed in a second quiz, putting their knowledge, quick thinking, and teamwork to the test.
The competition was created to make learning more exciting, interactive, and engaging. It allows students to challenge themselves, demonstrate their knowledge, think critically, and enjoy the thrill of friendly competition.
More than just a contest, the Knowledge Cup celebrated curiosity, teamwork, confidence, and the joy of discovering new things. It also showed how student initiative, combined with an educator’s support, can turn a simple idea into a meaningful experience for an entire school community.
Davit’s initiative is an inspiring reminder that leadership is not about how old you are, but about having the courage to dream, take action, and inspire others. With the Knowledge Cup, he has helped create more than a competition – he has created an opportunity for young minds to learn, grow, and shine!
