The World Champion and Students of the European School Against Bullying

On October 17, students of the European School joined an ongoing campaign “Sport Against Bullying”, aiming to tackle the bullying problem in children. Our school hosted Guram Tushishvili, the world champion in judo, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, Shalva Gogoladze, Deputy Ombudsman Eka Skhiladze, and prominent photographer and traveler Goga Chanadiri.
Guests shared their experience regarding bullying and suggested sport as one of the most effective ways to curb this rampant issue. Our pupils engaged in a lively discussion – they shared opinions concerning the underlying factors of bullying and proposed possible preventative actions.
Along with successful sportsmen, students of the European School will participate in the charity fundraising activities, which will underwrite the construction of sports facilities in the regions of Georgia.
Our school makes sure that its pupils, despite their tight academic schedule, strive to be responsible citizens, actively involved in social projects.
