At European School, the youth quartet “Acolada” brought students closer to the world of classical music, giving them a unique opportunity not only to listen to the masterpieces of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Joseph Haydn, Sulkhan Tsintsadze, and Gia Kancheli, but also to discover classical instruments up close.

Our PYP Tennis Club students participated in an interschool tennis tournament, competing alongside learners from other international schools in a spirit of friendly competition and community. Throughout 42 matches, students demonstrated perseverance, respect, integrity, and sportsmanship while building confidence and positive connections with peers from other schools. We are proud of our Tennis Club students and their coach, Christophe Hennequin, for their enthusiasm, preparation, and the positive way they represented our school.

During PYP Summer School Spirit Week, students celebrated a week filled with imagination, laughter, and self-expression.

As the school year comes to a close, we proudly celebrate the achievements of our Student Council members during a special Certificate Ceremony held in their honor.

Excitement and pride filled the air on June 5 as the students from 5A, 5B, and 5C gathered in the Main Hall for their Primary Years Programme Graduation. Surrounded by their families and teachers, this significant milestone marked the culmination of their primary school journey. The event truly celebrated the IB learner profile, as student speakers confidently took the stage to reflect on their years of inquiry, growth, and the lifelong friendships they formed along the way.

Our students recently had the unique opportunity to meet Dénes Andor Varga, one of the most celebrated water polo players in the world. Known for his extraordinary creativity, skill, and vision in the game, Dénes Varga has achieved remarkable success throughout his career, including an Olympic gold medal, an Olympic bronze medal, multiple World Championship titles, and numerous European championships.

On June 3rd, an informative assembly on cybersecurity was held in the IB Building for IB Foundation (IBF), DP1, and CP1 students. The session was led by guest speakers from the Scientific Cyber Security Association (SCSA) and focused on important topics including cyber safety, phishing, and social engineering.

Grade 5 students brought energy, focus, and enthusiasm to the PYP Spelling Bee competition. Selected representatives from each class competed in the final round, demonstrating excellent spelling abilities, concentration, and confidence in front of their peers.

As part of our educational program, students are actively exploring the theme How the World Works. The central idea of this inquiry focuses on the evolution of technology and how it serves to meet human needs and solve various problems. Throughout the lessons, children discuss why people create new tools, how inventions transform our daily lives, and the impact of technological progress on the environment.
