The Primary Years Programme community recently hosted a hands-on First Aid Training session for Grade 3 learners. Designed to build safety awareness, practical life skills, and personal responsibility, this interactive initiative is directly connected to the transdisciplinary theme, Who We Are, and the central idea that making healthy choices can influence well-being. To deliver this specialized training, the school welcomed a professional team of certified medical trainers. Structured according to modern American Heart Association guidelines, the sessions were held in small, focused class groups to ensure every participant received personalized instruction.

The PYP held its first Three-Way Conferences of the 2026–2027 academic year. These annual conferences brought students, parents, and teachers together to reflect on learning and discuss students’ progress. Students took an active role in sharing their learning experiences and achievements. Through a variety of activities, participants identified strengths, discussed areas for future growth, and set meaningful learning goals. The conferences strengthened the partnership between home and school and supported students in taking ownership of their learning.

As the final project of their unit, Who We Are about changes and growing up, Grade 5 students took an exciting step towards their transition from PYP to MYP. As part of the final activity of the unit, they prepared questions for an interview with Grade 6 students to learn more about the changes, challenges, and exciting opportunities that come with joining the MYP programme.

On October 13, our Georgian Language Teachers organised a special Tbilisoba-themed activity for our IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) Grade 2 and Grade 3 students, celebrating the beauty, traditions, and rich cultural heritage of Georgia.

We extend our sincere thanks to Mr. Beka Burjanadze for sharing his time, experience, and valuable insights with our Grade 3 students. His visit brought the unit to life and reminded our young inquirers that the choices they make today can help shape their health and well-being for the future.

At just Grade 5, Davit Natroshvili has shown that great ideas have no age limits! With creativity, initiative, and a passion for learning, Davit initiated and helped create the Knowledge Cup Competition for students in Grades 4-5, together with Ms. Tamuna Merkviladze and Ms. Anastasia Abdushelishvili.

On September 29, IB students from Grades 11 and 12 had the opportunity to take part in an engaging guest speaker session connected to their Global Politics studies.

The first week of the new academic year in the Middle Years Programme (MYP) was filled with energy, community and learning. The Back-to-School Activity Series brought together a festive first-day welcome, grade-level assemblies and age-specific activities rooted in the IB philosophy.

As part of their Who We Are unit, Grade 4B PYP learners explored the first line of inquiry, “Genetics shape our appearance.” Students began by investigating what makes each of us unique and how genetics influence our characteristics.
