When Antiquity Comes Alive: A Journey Through Metamorphoses
On March 30, we celebrated another inspiring event dedicated to classical literature—a Victorina exploring Ovid’s Metamorphoses. Four groups competed, demonstrating their knowledge and understanding of the author’s remarkable work through engaging and innovative approaches.
The event beautifully combined modern teaching methods with digital tools and creative artificial illustrations, bringing ancient scenes to life and transforming them into vivid, memorable experiences. It was truly a celebration where antiquity met creativity.
We were honored to host distinguished guests who made the occasion even more meaningful: Prof. Nana Tonia, Head of the Department of Classical Philology at TSU , and Prof. Levan Gigineishvili, Director of the Institute of Classical, Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies at TSU. Their presence added great value and inspiration to the event.
Special thanks go to the dedicated organizers and teachers whose efforts made this celebration possible. We are proud and happy to keep this wonderful tradition alive each year.
