Landslide of Acceptances on Ivy Day – Our Student Admitted to Three Ivy League Universities.
14 Apr 2020️ March 26 was Ivy Day (the date when Ivy League universities announced their decisions for first-year applicants). It brought unprecedented success to our senior, Irakli Bezhuashvili (class of 2020), who was accepted by three Ivy League universities: Columbia University, Cornell University, University of Pennsylvania. Along with his Ivy admissions, Irakli was also accepted by the following prestigious universities in the US: UC Berkeley, Boston College, Boston University, Northeastern University, George Washington University.

April 9th - Freedom Started with a Tragedy

On April 9th, 1989 special forces of the Soviet troops brutally dispersed a peaceful demonstration in front of the Parliament building. As a result, 21 people died. On April 9th, 1991 the Supreme Council announced the restoration of the State Independence of Georgia. Online learning at the European School
11 Mar 2020The European School is responding to the Georgian government’s decision to extend schools’ closure and from Monday, March 16th, is moving to online classes for its students from all academic programs offered at the school. The European School designed plans to minimize disruption to teaching and learning and is ready to deliver quality educational experience and provide its students with online lessons.

Cognia Engagement Review visit in American High School
26 Feb 2020Good news! This week American High School was hosting Cognia Engagement Review visit for reaccreditation. The team of experts observed classes and processes in school and met with different members of school community. The American High school was awarded with the international accreditation for the next five years.

Jewish-Georgian Memorandum
26 Feb 2020“Israeli Center for Young Leaders“ and the European School signed a memorandum of understanding. Exchange programs planned for Israeli and Georgian students supports establishing stable and beneficial collaboration between the youth of two countries. Youth plays an important role in developing friendship, solidarity, and peace in the world. At the meeting, students presented both countries and performed Israeli and Georgian anthem.

Museum at the School
21 Feb 2020Georgian National Centre of Manuscripts presented an educational project at the ES and exhibited collection items: manuscripts created in three writing systems used to write the Georgian language as well as Latin, Greek and Italian manuscripts. Among others, an exact copy of the Vani Gospels - the manuscript composed at the Queen Tamar of Georgia’s request was exhibited. The guests showed 3D installation demonstrating a unique heritage of Georgian and foreign manuscripts. Within the project, the students met the Doctor of Philology Eka Dughashvili who held a lecture about unique manuscripts.
