World Food Day Celebration

On October 16, 2017 the European School students from MYP programme celebrated World Food Day. The event aimed to help students understand the importance of a well-balanced diet for good health. It is challenging eating right in our over-processed and fast food world. For this reason, we constantly encourage our students to choose fruits, vegetables and other healthy alternatives of Junk food.

By serving home cooked dishes from different cuisines, MYP students managed to offer a real taste of their home countries to the visitors. We enjoyed: Chinese Moon Cake, Romanian traditional honey and walnuts pastry -Mucenici, Azerbaijan   Parcha- Dosheme Plov, Indian “Egg Roast Bread”, Turkish “Cigarette Pie”, Persian Barberry Rice with Chicken, Syrian “Macaroni with Béchamel” and “Tabuli Salad”, Georgian, Khachapuri, Lobiani, Churchkhela, Italian  Tiramisu , Pasta with Tomato-Cream Sauce.  The dish of the day became Parcha- Dosheme Plov served by Azerbaijani students.
