French Ambassador Pascal Meunier at the European School

On December 8, 2017, Pascal Meunier, Ambassador of France to Georgia, and Jean-Yves Lavoir, the Director of the French Institute of Georgia, along with honorable guests, attended the European School’s celebration ceremony dedicated to the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Georgia and France. Historic moments from a century-long Georgian-French relations and those people who have deepened cooperation between the two countries were brought to life through the shadow plays, French songs, poems and stage plays. At the end of the ceremony, the Ambassador delivered a speech to the audience. He talked about the last 25 years of diplomatic relations between Georgia and France, remembered previous French ambassadors to Georgia, emphasized the support they had demonstrated toward Georgia in times of trouble and named those individuals who have greatly contributed to Georgian-French relations in terms of culture and education. In the end, the Ambassador thanked the founders and the administrative members of the European School for promoting French language. The Ambassador also expressed his readiness to deepen cooperation between the European School and Embassy of France in Georgia.
