Innovation Week

Teaching 21st-century students needs innovative methods proven to work effectively with today’s tech-smart learners.

During innovation weeks of the European School’s Science, Mathematics, and Innovative Technologies Departments, we evidenced that ES teachers keep up with changes and integrate innovation into the daily curriculum to encourage students’ academic growth.

Teachers applied diverse teaching strategies like the 5E learning cycle(Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, Evaluate), flipped classroom, project-based learning, gamification, inquiry-based learning, collaborative learning, personalized teaching, and experiential teaching. They incorporated technology, AI,  multimedia resources, subject-specific Apps and programs: Vernier sensors and Vernier graphical analysis, Padlet, Quizlet, Canva, Desmos, Geogebra, Matlab, Maple, Simulink, Mathway, ChatGPT, Scratch, and HTML to introduce real-world examples and create dynamic and engaging classroom environment.
