Professional Development Day

In education, research has shown that teaching quality and school leadership are the most important factors in raising student achievement. For teachers and school leaders to be as effective as possible, they continually expand their knowledge and skills to implement the best educational practices. Professional development is the only strategy school systems have to strengthen educators’ performance levels.
The European School’s Professional Development Day took place on the 24th November 2017. During this day school teachers, staff and management held meetings, reviewed the ongoing semester, and discussed current and future improvement strategies. They also attended training about CIS, Digital Citizenship, and reviewed curriculum and general policies. Teachers learned about challenges they will face in the future and how they should self-assess to grow as professionals.
