Unprecedented Cooperation between the British Council and the European School

The British Council and the European School signed an Agreement of Cooperation. The purpose of the agreement is to implement the British education model in English language learning and teaching.  Justin McKenzie Smith, British Ambassador to Georgia, attended the signing ceremony.

Sophio Bazadze, the Academic Director of the European School, delivered an opening speech explaining the significance that this unprecedented partnership holds for students and parents alike. Gela Bezhuashvili, the Supervisory Board Chairman of the European School, accentuated the school founders’ contributions to the professional development of teachers and described the undertaken project in this context. Zaza Purtseladze, the Director of the British Council, outlined the project details. He expressed hope that cooperation between the British Council and the European School will benefit both students and teachers.

The British Ambassador also delivered a speech. He underlined the importance of educational cooperation between the UK and Georgia and an enhancement of partnership in this regard. According to him, the above-mentioned educational project launched by the British Council and the European School will benefit Georgia at a national level.
