World Down Syndrome Day - 2022
March 21st is World Down Syndrome Day. This year, the campaign #IWantSocks aims to support the Ukrainian people. In recognition of World Down Syndrome Day, the European School students raised 3000 GEL by purchasing colorful socks. 10% of the money raised from the campaign will be transferred to the Ukrainian Down Syndrome Association. Additionally, the students have the opportunity to send purchased socks to Ukrainian people.
#InclusionMeans full integration of persons with disabilities in societies. Together with Gigo, Sesil, Aleksandre we conducted fun Chemistry experiments, met robots, built handmade puzzles, and exhibited paintings at the European School. To raise awareness of Down syndrome, we held a meeting with the founder of the Down Syndrome Association Nino Sikharulidze.
The event aimed not only to integrate children with Down syndrome into society but to support the living of every child in an environment that respects freedom, equality, and peace.
