On October 15, 2024, as part of Global Ethics Day 2024, the Global Citizenship and Ethics Symposium, titled "Together for Tomorrow: Exploring Global Ethics Through Student Perspectives," was held for IB DP/CP students at the European School. Established by the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs, Global Ethics Day empowers individuals and organizations worldwide to engage with ethics as a means to improve lives and strengthen communities.

On October 17, 2024, IB DP CAS and CP SL students at our school had the unique opportunity to attend an enlightening workshop titled "Future-Ready Insights: Preparing for Careers That Don’t Exist Yet", presented by Sasha Utami, Area Manager at Immerse Education. As we navigate an ever-evolving world, the job market is undergoing a transformation that opens doors to exciting and unpredictable career opportunities.

The European School held a Gastronomic Festival to celebrated World Food Day! Parents showcased traditional dishes from 17 different countries, each table beautifully decorated with souvenirs and cultural elements. Many parents even wore traditional costumes, adding to the vibrant atmosphere!

The European School hosted a webinar where students connected with the Learn With Leaders representative and learned all about the In-person HMC Young Global Leaders Program by the Harvard Model Congress. During this session, they discovered the goals and benefits of the HMC Young Global Leaders Program, got detailed information about requirements, and received answers to questions from the knowledgeable supervisor.

The European School will be hosting an onsite workshop "Exchange of Experiential Teaching Practices II" for the Caucasus and Central Asia Association of IB World Schools (CCAAIBW) on Saturday, November 30, in Tbilisi, Georgia.

Global Handwashing Day was marked at the European School with various activities raising awareness about the importance of hygiene! Our school doctors initiated informative talks on the significance of handwashing, reminding children how a simple act can make a big difference in keeping them healthy.

On Thursday, October 3, at 4 PM, Lado Sakvarelidze, a founding member of Fly Fishers International, delivered a presentation titled "Recreational Fishing and Conservation of Wildlife" for IB DP/CP 11th-12th grade CAS/SL students. In this session, Mr. Sakvarelidze shared and discussed how recreational fishing can be practiced in a sustainable manner to support wildlife conservation and the protection of natural habitats.

To honor International Day of Older Persons, the European School PYP students engaged in meaningful activities fostering awareness and connection with the older generations in our community.

The European School recently hosted a special workshop for parents new to the Primary Years Programme (PYP).  Led by PYP Coordinator Tina Gugushvili, the session introduced parents to the PYP framework, which emphasizes inquiry-based learning, encouraging students to explore and engage with the world around them. The workshop also provided an overview of ManageBac, the digital platform used for communication, assessment, and progress tracking throughout the school year.
