Spelling Bee and the Linguistic Olympia
The European School promotes the teaching and learning of foreign languages, encourages new initiatives, new methods in teaching and learning, innovative language-learning projects.
April 8th was a real celebration of foreign languages at the ES, where two big language competitions were held: Spelling Bee and the Linguistic Olympiad “Think Globally”.
4-6 grade students from14 different schools of Georgia participated in the Regional Spelling Bee hosted by the ES.
Winners of the competition are:
Grade 4 – Teimuraz Loria( the European School student)
Grade 5 – Zaqaria Nikolaishvili ( State school#82)
Grade 6 – Mariam Burdac (The European School).
Thirteen participating teams of the Linguistic Olympiad presented creative solutions to global problems in German, French, Russian, and English languages.
Winner teams are:
First place – Russian language team, video “Bullying in school and its prevention”;
Second place – English language team, advertisement “How to identify and avoid fake news”;
Third place – German language team, flayer “Digital Wellness”.
