The British Council
The British Council, as an official partner of the European School, has implemented a high-quality English-language learning syllabus for all students in the Georgian Programme from Grades 1 to 12.
The British Council has based this syllabus on its 70 years of teaching experience and the best practices of its teaching centres and schools around the world. The British Council syllabus focuses on building children’s confidence when communicating with a task-based syllabus that encourages independent critical thinking as well as traditional language skills and systems. We focus most of all on speaking and writing, the most important English skills needed for the 21st century workplace.
All students from Grades 1 to 3 also benefit from having a Teaching Assistant in each classroom. This increases the opportunities for children to practise their English as much as possible. Students at
every grade benefit from our rigorous assessment, motivational and creative teaching approach, and best-in-class English language teaching.
