European School Georgia and European Azerbaijan School Celebrate Earth Day Together

On the occasion of Earth Day 2025, the European School Primary Years Programme (PYP) Georgian Program and the European Azerbaijan School came together for a special celebration — the Earth Day Conference 2025. The event brought students from both schools together in a spirit of collaboration, creativity, and environmental awareness. The conference was filled with vibrant cultural exchanges and educational experiences. Students proudly showcased their national dances and sang traditional songs, highlighting the rich cultural heritage of Georgia and Azerbaijan. These performances created a warm and festive atmosphere, reflecting unity and mutual respect between the two schools.

Beyond cultural celebration, the event focused on raising awareness about critical environmental issues. Students conducted research on topics such as pollution, climate change, deforestation, and endangered species. They presented their findings in creative and impactful ways — through posters, poetry recitals, digital presentations, and an engaging art competition.

The highlight of the event was the sense of ownership and advocacy the students demonstrated. Their thoughtful reflections and artistic expressions served as powerful reminders of the importance of protecting our planet.

To recognize their dedication and effort, all participants were awarded certificates of participation. These certificates served not only as a token of appreciation but also as a symbol of their commitment to being responsible global citizens.

The Earth Day Conference 2025 was a true celebration of student agency, international-mindedness, and the shared responsibility we all have in caring for our environment.
