Exploring Ancient Scripts and the Georgian Language
IB PYP Georgian B students participated in a special performance, highlighting the significance of learning the Georgian language for foreigners. Understanding Georgian not only fosters communication but also deepens cultural appreciation and integration. Students from grades 1 to 4 presented various performances, including songs and dances. Second-grade students staged a small play about ancient scripts, incorporating Sumerian, Georgian, Egyptian, and Chinese languages. At the end of the event, students and their parents created their own greeting cards at workplaces. A Chinese parent taught everyone how to write in Chinese, while some students wrote their names on clay, and others wrote them in Georgian. Through these activities, students gained valuable knowledge and experience in the Georgian language, reinforcing its role as a bridge to history, culture, and community.
