Grade 3A /3B Project - An Act of Kindness
For the past several weeks grade 3 students have been investigating the unit about global issues and learning about challenges that people around the world have to face. At the same time, they have been discussing and trying to find solutions to these issues.
As the results students have come up with the project – An Act of Kindness. Their goal was to help old people in need and change their lives for good. Students have decided to collect the most necessary items these days including face masks, hand sanitizers, wet napkins and soaps and donate them to Catharsis – an organization that provides help and shelter to old people in need.
During the week grade 3 students have informed the whole PYP community about their project and encouraged others to participate. With the generous donations from students from all grades, their parents, teachers and assistants, grade 3 was able to collect an inspiring number of items. Students not only brought face masks and hand sanitizers, but also home baked cookies, sweets and candies. With the help from the Georgian language teachers, students wrote letters for grandparents living in the shelter.
