Columbus Day 2022

On October 10, 2022, AHS students organized a Columbus Day activity at school. They 3D printed Columbus statue in the ES FabLab, displayed foods of Columbian Exchange, and organized the journal of Christopher Columbus scavenger hunt and hosted a conference. At the conference, they presented the following topics: “The voyages of Christopher Columbus” (Nikoloz Khaduri, 10A), “The biography of Christopher Columbus” (Ani Shevardnadze, 10A), “The history of Columbus day and why we celebrate it today” (Ana Danelia, 10A), “The Columbian exchange” (Nika Tarielashvili, 10B), “Characteristics that helped Columbus in his journey” (Anna Davitashvili, 10A), “Benefits, drawbacks, and the aftermath of Columbus's voyages” (Andria Laitadze, 10A).

Meeting with the Representative of American University in Bulgaria

On October 7th, the AHS students from grades 10-11 met the representative of the American University in Bulgaria, Aneta Panayotova. The admissions Counselor shared information about academic programs offered at the university and admission procedures. Interested students asked questions, interacted with the guest, and received brochures and flyers from the university counselor Natia Nanava.

Celebrating its 15th Anniversary #ES15thAnniversary #ESMarathon2022

Celebrating its 15th anniversary, the European School held a marathon and welcomed both teachers and students at Lisi Lake on Sunday, October 2nd. Marathon Day raised the community spirit of our faculty and students, who demonstrated their love for and commitment to the European School. Participants enjoyed beautiful weather, nice views, and a fun race with its excitement and competition.

On June 25th, 2022, the 17th Award Ceremony of Golden Brand was held at the Hotels & Preference Hualing Tbilisi. Organized by Global Idea and The Financial, Golden Brand is recognized as the most prestigious and influential business award in Georgia. It acknowledges businesses for outstanding quality and customer satisfaction. The European School has become the winner and number one private school in the country.

The Graduation Ceremony of the American High School Class of 2022

On June 8th, the European School held the graduation ceremony of the American High School (AHS) students. The European School Director Sophio Bazadze and the Head of AHS Irma Barbakadze congratulated graduates, the graduation speech was delivered by Nita Bakradze. The School Director Sophio Bazadze awarded diplomas to AHS graduates. The European School Medals and the US President's Awards for Educational Excellence were presented to the students: Nita Bakradze, Nika Bezhuashvili, Mariam Chakhnashvili, Mehdi Jafarian, Mariam Natroshvili and George Ugulava.

A Global Journey Through Literature

On the 8th of June, the teachers of Language Arts, Nana Mukeria and Tekla Beradze, organized an event called “ A Global Journey Through Literature ''. The students of American High School (Nikoloz Khaduri, Nitsa Skhvitaridze, Anna Danelia, Anna Davitashvili, Lara Gaziogu, Anastasia Sandadze, Liza Arveladze)  analyzed and interpreted different literary works in two languages, English and Georgian, and  gave presentations on  different topics, such as “ Mythological Allusions in Shakespeare’s Work”, “Cross- Cultural Traits in Literature”,” Books about us”, “ Personal Freedom Found in Books ”  etc..

On May 25, 2022, American Рigh School student Tamar Kobakhidze (11B class) delivered a presentation at National Palace American Corner Tbilisi about American lifestyle and Georgian culture. Presentation was attended by American Corner Tbilisi's “All about America” club members. It was ended with interactive discussion.

On May 26th to June 3rd, the European School hosted an annual Student Academic Conference. In engaging and dynamic environment of the conference, students shared research results around topics from Social Sciences, Language and Literature, Mathematics, Arts, Innovative Technologies, and Sciences.
