Anti Bullying Campaign #goodtogether
26 Nov 2019Within the Anti Bullying Campaign #goodtogether, several events were held at the European School organized by the Student Well-being Center: the MYP , the PYP and the Georgian Program students arranged a showcase of short movies and following discussions about bullying theme in classes and at the library. They created posters, some crafts and exhibited in the hallways. The PYP students additionally dedicated the assembly to the bullying theme. #goodtogether ,,#ერთადუკეთესია’’
PYP Elections
26 Nov 2019PYP grade 5 students inquired into the ways governments systems influence the life of the citizens, during the transdisciplinary theme “How we organize ourselves”. Students have been working on the elections campaign where they had to promote their party and a candidate for the PYP president. Our candidates are: Aleksandre Tsiklauri - #1, Maryam Huseynova - #2, Nikolozi Iakobidze - #3 and Atila Rousta - #4. During the week they were meeting the PYP community and have been promoting their candidate through: flyers, video promotions, charity actions. On November 21 st they had the debates where all the candidates had to come up with the solutions of the problems our community faces. The students worked as a team and came up with the creative and practical answers. The 3 rd and 4 th attended the debates and asked questions about the goals of each party.
MYP program's Activity
20 Nov 2019On 20 th of November, MYP program conducted three-way conference. Students, parents and teachers met each other to discuss students’ ongoing success and develop strategic plan for their further development. Teachers discussed different activities, students’ notebooks and other aspects of teaching process. These meetings will be systematic throughout the year.

Caricatures & Zaliko Sulakauri
19 Nov 2019Within the unit about the Government PYP 5 th grade students were learning about the caricatures, namely how politicians are often the subject for caricature artists. We invited such caricature artist -Zaliko Sulakauri to share his knowledge and experience. Mr. Zaliko has kindly accepted our invitation and gave a masterclass, which our students enjoyed a lot.
PYP assembly & “Unitbulling" week
19 Nov 2019On the 18th of November PYP had celebrated the second whole PYP assembly. The main idea of the assembly was to discuss "Unitbulling" week, PYP psychologist, Ms. Mariam shared the meaning of friendship and how to be caring towards each other. Student Council members presented their initiated action, which they proposed to start this week. The idea of action was to provide possibility for all PYP student to play board and other active games during break time. PYP coordinator, Ms Dinara communicated the main idea of the upcoming Three-Way conference.
Special guest archeologist Alexander Mikadze
19 Nov 2019On Tuesday, November 12th, Grade 3 students hosted a special guest archeologist Alexander Mikadze. Mr. Mikadze explained students how archeology helps us to discover old civilizations and know about them. He talked about one of the Georgia's old civilizations Kolkheti (Colchis). In this discussion, he covered topics about Colchis, King Aeëtes, Medea, Greek Argonauts, and getting gold during this time.
Literary Activities during Astrid Lindgren Week
15 Nov 2019During Astrid Lindgren’s Week, several quiz shows and literary meetings were held at the European School. The Georgian Program students from grade 4 made presentations about the life and works of the famous author. In a literary quiz show held in the Smart Room, 3rd graders competed in teams. Additionally, grade 7a, 8a, and 8b students participated in a quiz show about Sweden. A team lead by Temo Tvauri became the winner of the competition. At the final blitz round the students showed a deep knowledge about the country.
Degustation of Pippi’s Fritters and Karlsson’s Jams
15 Nov 2019It’s time for tastiness- like Pippy, the students decided to cook fritters. During the preparation time, they researched best recipes and read one more time the chapter where Pippy enthusiastically learns baking. The fritters by the ES students were very tasty. Another fun experience was a degustation of Karlsson’s jams. The students offered sweets to peers and the School Director as well. Kids enjoyed both activities.
