Self Governance Day
02 May 2023On April 27th, the European School had an energized atmosphere as it celebrated Self Governance Day and provided students with opportunities to develop leadership skills, take on roles and responsibilities of the school faculty and staff for one day, and govern almost every aspect of life at the ES. To celebrate the day of awesome experience and increase the fun, the school administration served cotton candy, organized a variety of entertainment programmes like dances and lottery play for the students.
Easter Exhibition

Spelling Bee and the Linguistic Olympia

University Fair
30 Mar 2023On Friday, March 24th, the European School University Counseling Office hosted University Fair and welcomed representatives from IE University, Bocconi University, Trinity College Dublin, Constructor University (Formerly Jacobs University), and Modul University Vienna. Meeting with university admissions counselors is a valuable experience that helps students to make important decisions about where to apply and why. It is the perfect way for students to choose which course or pathway is right for them.
Robotics Competition
15 Mar 2023The European School held a Robotics Competition designed to teach grade 3-4 students coding with the Botley robot. Teams containing three students each were challenged to create an algorithm, reach the ending point by selecting the shortest path, navigating Botley to perform a series of movement tasks, including turning and line following. The students had a lot of fun trying to get Botley to complete the challenge. The competition was a challenge and entertaining learning opportunity at the same time.
International Mother Language Day
23 Feb 2023To mark International Mother Language Day on February 21st, the European School hosted various events. MYP students met the Famous author Nodar Dumbadze’s daughter and learned unknown details about his books. PYP students, inspired by Lela Tsutskiridze’s book Alphabet Angels, created their alphabet letters. To promote linguistic and cultural diversity as well as multilingualism, MYP students held an assembly where they expressed deserved respect to mother tongues in seven different languages: Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Russian, and Ukrainian and made the day memorable.
Turkey-Syria Earthquake
15 Feb 2023In the last few days, the ES community launched a collection drive to help people affected by the massive earthquake along the Turkey and Syria border. A call out for priority items has led to donations of warm clothing along with sleeping bags, pillows, and blankets. Essentials such as baby food, diapers, and sanitary products have also been received. Transportation of humanitarian aid was ensured by the Turkish Embassy.
Safer Internet day 2023
06 Feb 2023The ES, committed to ensuring a safer digital environment for its students, celebrated Safer Internet day 2023. Students and teachers from IB, AHS, and Georgian Programs came together for better internet and held awareness sessions on topics such as Cyber Hygiene, Internet and Safety, Cyberbullying, and Cybersecurity. They discussed the online issues that matter to everyone, created E-book, conducted activities in the Bookcreator app, etc.
The European School Student Trip to European Institutions
30 Jan 2023On January 7-13, the European School students participated in the international program: Georgian Youth in Global Affairs, organized by Young Diplomats of Georgia and the European Alliance for Georgia. Attending a seminar on Georgia’s EU membership prospects with Mr. Romain Strasser (Head of Intercultural Dialogue at the European Parliament, the Board Member of EAFG), making presentations on world issues at European Commission, meeting with the Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) and the senior decision-makers of the European Committee of Regions, visiting the Belgian Federal Parliament, the Belgian Senate, the Parlamentarium, the visitors' center of the European Parliament, and the House of European History was a great insightful opportunity to step into the EU institutions to witness from the inside how they operate.
