AP courses
European Schools offers AP courses in different subjects. Advanced Placement (AP) is one of the programs which prepare high school students for enrollment at Universities. Advanced Placement (AP) was created by the College Board after the World War II. Initially the program was implemented by several American schools and supported by universities like Harvard, Princeton, and Yael. Students who are engaged in AP courses have chance to study college –level curricula , gain credits, pass exams and obtain scores which will be considered during placement and studying at the Universities. AP program is created in 34 different subjects. Students select several subjects from the offered list and study them at a college level. In the subject list there are subjects like Foreign Languages, Sciences, Art, Computer Science, Sociology etc. After completing the course students pass written exams, where the maximum score is 5, the minimum-1. Exam results together with other documentations are sent to the Universities. Students from grades 10-12 have right to pass AP exams.
European School is an AP Examination Center, where high professional staff members have been teaching AP courses for past three years. Majority of students scored 4 and 5 in AP exams.
Students who wish to join AP courses should be registered at the European School Training Center (Room 5) by October 15.
