CAS/SL Assembly "Unlocking Potential Through Academic Integrity"

On October 22, 2024, at 4:00 PM, the IB DP/CP CAS/SL Assembly titled “Unlocking Potential Through Academic Integrity” took place, marking our school’s celebration of the International Day of Action for Academic Integrity. This global initiative, created by the International Center for Academic Integrity, highlights the critical importance of honesty, trust, and ethical behavior in academic work and beyond. During the assembly, students showcased a variety of thoughtful and creative projects, all designed to promote a culture of integrity within our school community. These projects included: Integrity Ambassador Interviews, where students interviewed staff and peers about the importance of integrity in their work and personal lives; Honesty in Action Photography Project, which captured moments of ethical decision-making and academic honesty; The Integrity Quote Collage, a powerful visual representation of inspirational quotes on integrity; Academic Integrity Word Cloud, created from the students’ reflections on what academic honesty means to them. The event emphasized that academic integrity is not just a principle to be followed in coursework, but a cornerstone of the CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) and SL (Service Learning) activities in the IB DP and CP programs. Integrity encourages students to take ownership of their work, collaborate responsibly, and approach both academic and extracurricular tasks with transparency and sincerity. Through these projects, students demonstrated that embracing academic integrity is essential not only for their personal growth but also for building a respectful, ethical, and trustworthy community. The assembly was an inspiring reminder that integrity plays a crucial role in unlocking our potential, fostering meaningful contributions, and making a lasting impact on society.
