CAS/SL Conference “Cyber Hygiene and the Importance of Cybersecurity in Our Daily Lives”

On November 19, 2024, CAS/SL Conference titled “Cyber Hygiene and the Importance of Cybersecurity in Our Daily Lives” for DP/CP students was organized.  Two distinguished speakers Giorgi Bochoidze, Cybersecurity Specialist and Ethical Hacker, and Nini Bochoidze, Cybersecurity and Information Security Policy Researcher, provided valuable insights into the importance of cybersecurity in today’s world. The guest speakers delivered engaging presentations and simulations on how cybersecurity impacts our daily lives, addressing critical topics such as protecting personal information, recognizing potential online threats, and understanding the importance of strong passwords and multi-factor authentication. They also discussed the latest trends in cybersecurity, including emerging threats and the role of ethical hacking in preventing cyberattacks. Additionally, they provided practical advice on maintaining strong cyber hygiene practices, such as creating secure digital habits, managing privacy settings, and staying vigilant against phishing attempts. Their expertise not only equipped students with valuable tools for safeguarding their online presence but also inspired them to be more mindful of the ethical implications of their digital actions and the responsibilities of being informed global citizens in a rapidly evolving digital world. The conference was a great success and served as an important learning opportunity for all DP/CP CAS/SL students.
