English language competition for teens
Are you 13-15 or 16-18 years old?
If yes, the British Council gives you an opportunity to take Aptis, a computer based test and get the English proficiency certificate. With Aptis you will:
◊ identify your English language level in reading, writing and listening skills;
You will be interested in learning that an Aptis candidate receives a score on a numerical scale from 0 to 50 for the grammar and vocabulary sections, and a score on a numerical scale (0 – 50) for each of the skills ( reading, writing and listening) and an overall CEFR score (A1, A2, B1, B2, C).
◊ test your language competence to study abroad and participate in exchange programmes
◊ test your readiness to take Georgian National exams;
◊ test your readiness to take high stake certificated exams such as Cambridge English FCE, CAE, also IELTS and TOEFL;
◊ identify your strengths and weaknesses, allowing you to modify your English language learning to get the result you need;
Prizes
Those pupils, from each age and language level group (A2, B1, B2 and C), who get the maximum score in Aptis test will be awarded with the tablet.
Those pupils, from each age group, who get the highest score in Aptis test will be awarded with the super prize – Iphone 7.

Registration
To register for the competition you need to:
1. pay the test fee of 50 GEL.
Bank Details: Bank of Georgia, bank code: BAGAGE22; account: British Council in Georgia; Account number: GE42BG0000000300313800. It is obligatory to include candidate name, birth date and exam in the description field on the payment slip: (e.g. G. Abashidze, 10.02.2001, Aptis).
2. bring the payment receipt to the School administration and go through the registration process there;
3. pass the registration process from 28 February till 15 March (the registration deadline is 15 March at 16:00).
Testing
Aptis test is computer based. It will last for 3 hours including 10 minute breaks. Please see below the testing timetable:
