European School Congratulates you on International Women's Day!
Talent Competition at European School
The European School Talent Competition took place from February 22th to 26th.
The organizational committee and Jury was composed of the following members:
1. Rusudan Makashvili – Artist (Head of Jury)
2. Irakli Bezhuashvili –European School Grade 8a student
3. Guliko Simaev – European School IB DP grade 11 student
4. Bachana Samadashvili – European School American High School grade 12 student
5. Aleksander Karalashvili – A contestant on the European School Talent Competition 2015
The selection of contestants for the European School Talent Competition took place on February 18th and 19th. 40 out of 48 individual and group performances were selected for the first round of the competition. After the first round, held from February 22-24, 15 performances were chosen as finalists.
The final round of the competition was entertaining and competitive. It was difficult for the jury to select the most talented students. The first prize “Talented Golden Star” winner was Dimitri Gozalishvili from grade 4a. Dimitri and his classmates were awarded with a tree day trip to Gudauri. The other “Talented Stars” winning acts were:
1. Levan Eloidze grade 3a student
2. “13+1” (“Shadow Angels”) –students from grade 7a;
3. Tamta Diasamidze grade 9b student;
4. A group of students from IB DP grade 11
An American High School grade 12 student, Luka Vadachkoria, was awarded with a special prize from the jury. Additionally, IB DP grade 11 students were awarded a voucher for a restaurant.
All participants in the competition were given participation certificates; the finalists were additionally awarded with finalist diplomas.
For their organization and promotion of competition at a high level, the members of the jury: Irakli Bezhuashvili, Guliko Simaev, Bachana Samadashvili and MCs : Mariam Adamia and Rusudan Modebadze were also awarded diplomas of achievement.
Diplomas and financial prizes were given to homeroom teachers: Tamta Gogichaishvili, Tamar Tsagareli, and Maia Melikishvili.
