American High School Karate Champion

American High School 8th grader and European School Karate Club member Ana Darchiashvili was named a champion of an international karate tournament on November 15th. Coached by her grandfather, Grigol Darchiashvili, Ana also became a member of the Georgian National Team and earned the right to participate in the 2016 European Karate Championship.

The tournament was conducted by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, together with the Georgian Karate Foundation. 450 karateka from Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Russia participated in the tournament.
