Healthy Lifestyle

In mid-October PYP G3 students had a trip to Turtle Lake. During their first month at school students have been inquiring about healthy lifestyle, how the food that we consume and regular exercise affect our body and mind and how important healthy sleeping habits and personal hygiene are.  The main idea of our trip to Turtle Lake was to give students an opportunity to share their new knowledge about healthy lifestyle with others. During the trip students engaged in different kind of physical activities, they participated in a Marathon, went jogging, arranged a healthy food picnic, etc. In addition, students prepared special flyers and distributed them to the people they met at the turtle lake in order to raise awareness about healthy lifestyle. The students spent their day beautifully and gained valuable experiences.

Roma: I learnt how to measure pulse.

Maryam: I learnt that we need to exercise and eat healthy meals.

Attila: I learnt that we need to consume food from different food groups.

Elay: Milk can help our bones grow strong.

Shaya: We need to sleep a lot to have enough energy.

Fidan: We need to engage in different kinds of sports.

Merab: We need to drink a lot of water during the day.

Bilge: I learnt that personal hygiene is important to stay healthy.

Anastasia: We can keep germs away by washing our hands.
