On October 16, 2017 the European School students from MYP programme celebrated World Food Day. The event aimed to help students understand the importance of a well-balanced diet for good health. It is challenging eating right in our over-processed and fast food world. For this reason, we constantly encourage our students to choose fruits, vegetables and other healthy alternatives of Junk food.

On October 14th-15th, 2017 the European School Academic Director Sophia Bazadze attended Georgian School Administrators Conference: “School Director as an Educational Leader- Challenges of Policy Implementation” ,  conducted within the Democracy Supporting Program of the U.S. Embassy.

On October 13th, the European School Preschool children were engaged in Global Handwashing Day celebration.

Within the Council of Europe’s Pestalozzi Program, National Center for Teacher Professional Development conducted a four-day working session on “Competences for Democratic Culture in School Practice.”

On Tuesday, October 5, 2017, Estonian delegation visited the European School. The delegation was determined to learn about the PreSchool Program. The delegation members attended the classes and in the end, summed up their visit at the school cafeteria.

On September 23, twenty three students of the American High School from grades 8, 9, and 10 with six members of the school’s administration participated in a Rafting Trip, that was held on the Aragvi River, near the Chargali Village. Participants with trained guides covered approximately 15 kilometers on the river during the excursion.

On October 4, 2017, the European School hosted a workshop – “Communication and Coaching among Youth” – led by the Kant’s Academy representatives. A guest lecturer, Irine Chochua discussed the issues of intrapersonal communication, the significance of long-term goal setting and creating the personal development plan. These issues intrigued the audience and resulted in an avid discussion.
