All around Georgia
10 Jun 2019Georgian Program students from grade 1b held a concert -All around Georgia. The students presented traditional dances, songs and poems from different regions of Georgia. Attendees also enjoyed several performances played by the students.

Graduation Ceremony
07 Jun 2019On May 6, the graduation ceremony of 2019 graduates of the Georgian Program, Diploma Programme and American High School was successfully held at the European School. Sophio Bazadze- Academic Director of the European School, Gela Bezhuashvili-Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Ramaz Sartania-the DP Coordinator, Irma Barbakadze- Director of AHS gave speeches in succession. They expressed their sincere congratulations and best wishes towards all the graduates. Gold and Silver Medals were awarded to successful students from Georgian Program: Khatia Kiladze, Nino Kintraia, Luka Leluashvili, and Elisabed Saakadze. For the outstanding academic performance, the administration awarded medals to the AHS and the DP students as well. The graduation ceremony featured several guest speakers: Gigi Tsereteli-OSCE Parliamentary Assembly President, Julius N. Tsai-Cultural Affairs Officer, US Embassy, Tea Kuchukhidz- Educational/Professional Programs Coordinator, Public Affairs Section, US Embassy, Nugzar Davitashvili-Dean of San Diego State University and Ekaterine Baghishvili-Deputy Director of National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement. Honorable guests gave inspirational speeches and awarded diplomas to the graduates.

Flowers and Charity
05 Jun 2019Traditionally the European School held Flower Festival. Students sold different sorts of flowers and donated collected sum (700GEL) to the Youth House. The beneficiaries will spend money on purchasing paints and necessary resources. Charity Flower Festival is an annual event and will be held in the future as well.

Children's Literature and Writer Irma Malatsidze
05 Jun 2019Children's author Irma Malatsidze met the European School students at the school library. Primary years students from the Georgian Program red her books: Sweet Land and Proverbs-Tales, published under the series -Child Library. The author talked about her books, favorite characters, and authors. The students promised to continue reading books and invited her to the school in the future.

Flower Festival
03 Jun 2019On May 3, the European School held the Flower Festival. Primary level students from Georgian Program and the PYP played a concert, painted pots and organized exhibition-sale of the pot flowers planted in advance. They painted faces of participants, created a huge flower poster and danced flash mob. The ES parents were invited as well. Money collected from selling the pot plants will be spent for charity.

Austrian Storyteller at the European School
31 May 2019The famous Austrian storyteller Katarina Ritter visited the ES and met students who learn the German language. The students enjoyed listening to native German speaker and stories and legends presented by her.

Story of Old Garden
29 May 2019At the end of the academic year, within a transdisciplinary theme, Georgian Program students from grade 1b played a performance- Story of Old Garden. Invited parents and other family members enjoyed the children's songs, dances and the joyful way they shared the Story of Old Garden.

Final Exhibition
27 May 2019On May 24, primary and middle school students from the Georgian Program and IB held a final exhibition of the second semester. The exhibited artworks made using various materials and different technics were based on the theme of Interculturalism. Students from grade 9 made a 3D model of the eco-friendly city. The visitors enjoyed the exhibition.

Gold Number 2019
24 May 2019On May 19, the European School students: Ana Tsulaia, Nana Kachiauri, Nana Tsurtsumia, Elisabed Loria and Davit Grigolia participated at Chemistry conference-Gold Number 2019, held at the Agricultural University within a project- Professional Development of Teachers and School Directors and organized by the Association of Professional Chemists, National Center for Teachers' Professional Development and Millenium Challenge Fund. The goal of the conference is the popularisation of Chemistry. The ES Chemistry teachers Sopo Patsatsia and Khatuna Kapanadze were the supervisors of the students' projects. At the end of the conference, certificates were awarded to the students.
