Student’s support center at the European School continues a series of meetings “Conversations with Psychologist”. On October 30, our school psychologist Ketevan Osiashvili met with parents of 1st graders and centered her discussion around the topic “Adaptation of first-graders to school". At the meeting, parents were given recommendations on how to make the adaptation process with school run more smoothly. Moreover, she gave them tips on how to create a conducive environment for their children's cognitive development.

On October 29, our primary years students from the Georgian Program celebrated the International Animation Day. Dressed up as their beloved cartoon characters, pupils demonstrated spectacular outfits at the red carpet fashion show and made a flash mob. Afterward, children had the pleasure of attending the puppet theatre performance and as a memento, took photos with their favorite puppets.

On Wednesday, October 24, eminent Georgian writer Giorgi Kekelidze met with our 4th graders and conversed about the process of writing a book.

On October 20-21, our school hosted a seminar on " Methods for Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language ". The seminar was conducted by eminent Russian linguists, Stanislav Chernyshov and his wife, Anna Chernyshova. Russian language teachers from all over the country were introduced to practical teaching strategies that will assist in facilitating the learning process in their classrooms. At the end of the seminar, participants were awarded certificates.

On October 19, European School hosted a bright, young researcher Giorgi Kakhishvili, who presented his findings and novel approach to the famous Georgian poem “The Knight in the Panther’s Skin” by Shota Rustaveli. Recognized by leading scientists and pundits of the field, his ideas offer a fresh perspective on a mythological realm of the poem. Our students engaged in a meaningful conversation with the guest and juxtaposed “The Knight in the Panther’s Skin” with other masterpieces of world literature.

On October 17, our pupils from the Georgian program Grade 2B visited "Gardenia". The hosts warmly welcomed our children and showed them around their beautiful garden, while providing interesting pieces of information about various plants. Our second graders participated in a "Green Lesson" - they got the chance to paint and decorate clay pots all by themselves. Afterward, with a little help from the florists, children planted flowers in their handmade pots. After a successful field trip, children returned to school with a newly-acquired knowledge and hands-on learning experience in gardening.

Our students got awarded for their exceptionally successful participation in the Kings’ Olympiad.

On Saturday, September 29, European School took part in Kids Festival, which was held at Mtatsminda Park. Guests had the opportunity to see kid-focused services in one place and gather information about the field of education in Georgia.

On Saturday, September 29, European School participated in Iliauni Science Picnic, which took place at the Vake Park. Our tent was the center of everyone's attention - visitors took a great interest in robot fights, programmable drones, 3D pens and fun electronic experiments!
