World Book and Copyright Day
23 Apr 2020In 1995, April 23rd was announced by UNESCO to be World Book and Copyright Day. Each year, on 23 April, celebrations take place all over the world in over 195 countries and in Georgia as well to promote the enjoyment of books and reading.
Earth Day Goes Digital
22 Apr 2020On April 22nd, 2020 we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. The theme for Earth Day 2020 is climate action- the biggest challenge to the future of humanity. Current situation in the world led to the cancellation of planned marches and large-scale environmental events. Instead, many people took part in a digital Earth Day.
Distance Learning Adventure of the European School

The European School team managed to proactively mediate challenges, estimate possible difficulties ahead, to create clear plans and make correct decisions helped the transition process to run smoothly.

April 9th - Freedom Started with a Tragedy
09 Apr 202031 years have passed since the beginning of Georgia's new era. On April 9th, 1989 special forces of the Soviet troops brutally dispersed a peaceful demonstration in front of the Parliament building. As a result, 21 people died. On April 9th, 1991 the Supreme Council announced the restoration of the State Independence of Georgia. Online learning at the European School
11 Mar 2020The European School is responding to the Georgian government’s decision to extend schools’ closure and from Monday, March 16th, is moving to online classes for its students from all academic programs offered at the school. The European School designed plans to minimize disruption to teaching and learning and is ready to deliver quality educational experience and provide its students with online lessons.
Spirit week
28 Feb 2020Once a year PYP students have a spirit week. Spirit week is week where various themed activities happened. Students are encouraged to wear outfits that correspond with certain theme for the day. During the spirit week students had following theme: My favorite color day, favorite character day, science day, pajama day and Sport Day. Students were engaged in many activities, they had a wonderful week and a lot of fun.
