Hour of Code at European School
08 Dec 2017Hour of Code is a global movement reaching the whole world. This activity aims to involve as many students as possible into the coding process. The European School, with an initiative of ICT teacher David Nozadze, joined this movement and registered on the world map in that way.
Georgian Program Assembly
07 Dec 2017On December 7, Georgian Program of the European School held its very first assembly - an important, informative and entertaining event for students and teachers alike. Students demonstrated interesting projects in foreign Languages, plus, they presented an interdisciplinary project about the Egyptian civilization.
The European School Team - Winner of Komarovi Mathematics Festival
05 Dec 2017On December 1-2 the exhibition center Expo Georgia hosted Komarovi Mathematics Festival, where 38 teams from 24 schools competed. The European School team became a winner of the festival.
Goodbye Autumn
04 Dec 2017On November 30, European School students of primary classes held event "Goodbye Autumn." The event was opened with grade 4 presentation “Rich harvest of Autumn.” Children decorated second floor hallway with their artworks. They also performed flash mob in the school yard.
Iveri Chelidze Football Tournament
14 Nov 2017“Iveri Chelidze Football Tournament” finished at the European School. In different age categories the winner teams are: Grade 6b, MYP grade 8, grade 12 team from Georgian program. Top goal-scorer of the tournament is Mikheil Kvernadze, the Best Player-Nika Samushia, the Best Goalkeeper -Irakli Nebieridze. After the final games the Award Giving Ceremony was held at the school stadium.
Petre Babilua – Mentor
13 Nov 2017Under the Teacher Professional Development Scheme the status of Mentor was awarded to the Head of Mathematics Department of the European School, Mathematics teacher Petre Babilua. Award giving ceremony was held on November 10, at the Main Conference Hall.
Excursion to “Polyprint”
11 Nov 2017On November 9, Georgian program students from grade 2 visited the Printing House “Polyprint”. They learned some aspects of paper processing technology and engaged in a fun activity -kids made paper hats with the European School logo prints.
Joys of “Literacy”
02 Nov 2017Within the scope of the “Literacy” Project, the Director General of the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia, Giorgi Kekelidze, paid a visit to the European School on November 1, 2017 and held an open lesson for the 3rd and 4th graders.
Animation Day at the European School
26 Oct 2017On October 26th, elementary students from Georgian Program came to school dressed like characters from their favorite animated movies. At the same day, children enjoyed creating simple animations with the help of the representatives from Arts Museum. In the afternoon, costume parade was held at the London Avenue.
