Clean Hands For All-Global Handwashing Day
15 Oct 2019October 15 is Global Handwashing Day, a global advocacy day dedicated to increasing awareness and understanding about the importance of handwashing with soap as an effective and affordable way to prevent diseases and save lives. The European School Students engaged in Global Handwashing Day celebration. The teachers and doctor talked students awareness and understanding about the importance of handwashing with soap as an effective way to prevent diseases and encouraged children through various creative activities to wash their hands with soap.

11 Oct 2019Fall is the best time of the year to visit Kakheti. MYP students from grade 9 had two days excursion to Kakheti. The first day was dedicated to sightseeing, on the second day, students visited Kindzmarauli company and had masterclasses in making churchkhela and backing Georgian bread, later in Winery Khareba they took part in rtveli -harvesting grapes, squeezing and making juice from collected grapes.

09 Oct 2019What is the importance of relationships in a person’s life? Why do we need relationships? Is it possible to learn how to build a relationship? What is needed for a successful relationship? These and other questions were answered by the school counselor Keti Osiashvili at the meeting with students from grades 7a and 7b. The main topic of the meeting – The Art of Successful and Effective Relationship arose a big interest among the students.

Discover Tsinandali
09 Oct 2019AHS 11th graders had a trip to Tsinandali and the surrounding area. The students enjoyed a number of activities such as visiting the museum at Tsinandali Estate and learning about the life and poetry of Alexander Chavchavadze. They also visited Ujarma fortress along the way and made a stop at Shumi Winery. They learned how to make churchkhela during a master class offered at the winery which they loved a lot!
American University in Bulgaria
09 Oct 2019The students at AHS were lucky enough to have the opportunity to hear a presentation on a university with which our school closely collaborates - American University in Bulgaria. A number of ours students have attended and graduated from this university, and used their American-recognized degrees to continue their educating at other world-famous universities such as Columbia and Harvard, or began their careers either in Georgia or abroad. The next generation of AHS students, (and possible future AUBG alumni), heard about the programs and opportunities offered at our partner school, and were encouraged to think about their future and how they envision it will be.
