On November 14, 2024, the DP program hosted an assembly to celebrate the International Day of Tolerance. The event, themed "One World, Many Voices: A Celebration of Tolerance and Cultural Respect," brought together students to honor the importance of cultural respect and unity.

Trip to the Museum of Zoology

"As part of their exploration of the unit - Where We Are in Place and Time - IB PYP grade 4C students visited the Museum of Zoology at Tbilisi State University. As part of their inquiry the students were learning about discoveries in the field of biology and zoology and the museum was a perfect place for them to find answers to many questions. The students were able to see over 5000 objects including unique butterflies, insects, reptiles, birds, and mammals. As an integration with the Georgian B language class, the students bade sketches of different animals and birds exhibited in the museum and with the help of the Georgian teacher labeled them in Georgian. The students were fascinated by the wonderful collection they observed in the museum and learned more about the importance of discoveries in the field of Zoology."

Children’s Rights Protection Workshop

On October 30, children’s rights protection workshop for MYP teachers was held at the European School. The workshop was led by Eliso Chelishvili, Child Protection Officer of the European School. After the workshop, there was a discussion between the speaker and the teachers.

Let's get to know Georgia together

In honor of Georgian culture and traditions, our IB PYP fourth-grade students recently presented a special performance. As part of their project, they explored Old Tbilisi, visiting key cultural monuments. On October 28th, they performed a puppet show of the classic story "Komble" and introduced the tradition of the Georgian "Supra" or "table," showcasing traditional dishes, sweets, and drinks, including wine. The event concluded with a beautiful Georgian song, creating a memorable celebration of Georgia’s rich heritage. We are proud of our students for bringing these traditions to life!

CAS/SL Assembly "Unlocking Potential Through Academic Integrity"

On October 22, 2024, at 4:00 PM, the IB DP/CP CAS/SL Assembly titled "Unlocking Potential Through Academic Integrity" took place, marking our school's celebration of the International Day of Action for Academic Integrity. This global initiative, created by the International Center for Academic Integrity, highlights the critical importance of honesty, trust, and ethical behavior in academic work and beyond.

Global Citizenship and Ethics Symposium for Global Ethics Day 2024

On October 15, 2024, as part of Global Ethics Day 2024, the Global Citizenship and Ethics Symposium, titled "Together for Tomorrow: Exploring Global Ethics Through Student Perspectives," was held for IB DP/CP students at the European School. Established by the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs, Global Ethics Day empowers individuals and organizations worldwide to engage with ethics as a means to improve lives and strengthen communities.

Gastronomic Festival

The European School held a Gastronomic Festival to celebrated World Food Day! Parents showcased traditional dishes from 17 different countries, each table beautifully decorated with souvenirs and cultural elements. Many parents even wore traditional costumes, adding to the vibrant atmosphere!

Webinar about the Young Global Leaders Program

The European School hosted a webinar where students connected with the Learn With Leaders representative and learned all about the In-person HMC Young Global Leaders Program by the Harvard Model Congress. During this session, they discovered the goals and benefits of the HMC Young Global Leaders Program, got detailed information about requirements, and received answers to questions from the knowledgeable supervisor.
