2023 - 8th International Forum of the European Youth Parliament Georgia – EYP Georgia was held on November 17-21. 140 participants from 20 different countries celebrated 15 years of empowering young Europeans of Georgia!

Sketches of Tbilisi – a play performed by PYP grade 2, grade 3, and grade 4 Georgian students, represented Tbilisi's history and stories about its honored citizens,  and united themes: foreign guests in Tbilisi, foundation of the city, legend about Narikala, Pirosmani and his paintings, first business in Tbilisi, Dinamo – the most admirable football team and future generations.

The Grade 2C  field trip to the Ferdinand Farm was a whirlwind of excitement and hands-on experiences. One of the highlights of the day was the interaction with domestic animals. The children were greeted by a lively barnyard filled with various farm animals. The students had the chance to feed and interact with the animals, learning about their habits and importance in farming. The laughter and joy echoed through the barnyard as the children forged connections with these furry friends, creating memories that would last a lifetime. 

well-being of employees in the European School is one of the top priorities. Recently, the school’s Human Resources Division invited education specialist, trainer-consultant, and coach Paata Papava to assess the company’s ethos and analyze how positive the work culture is in our school. Meeting with ES employees held in the format of an organizational talk show made attendees think about the role of positive communication in school culture and ways to enhance it. 

As we are building this community of learners, we want our students to have a greater understanding of who they are as learners and to recognize and appreciate our diversity, so they can assume their responsibilities and create a welcoming community.

In an exciting language journey, students at the European School Primary Years Programme (PYP) of Georgian B fifth grade delved into the enchanting topic of the seven wonders of the world. Their exploration wasn't confined to books alone – these young minds brought creativity to the forefront by crafting unique models for their group presentations.

Today, the European School celebrated the Fall Festival. The Community event initiated by the ES Student Parliament Chairperson included the opportunity to dress in autumn-themed colors, exhibit fall-themed decorations, to participate in fruit basket contests, face painting activities, and bake-sale. Funds raised throughout the Fall Festival will be donated to support the campaign Together for Achi.

One of the great ways to be green is to give to others.  PYP students and teachers joined the #ESGreenYear campaign and initiated collecting gently used clothes and toys and donating them to orphanages.  All collected items were delivered to the organization "Child and Environment", little family-type orphanages in Rustavi and Norio.

With the support of the Council of Europe office in Georgia, the first international Conference, “A Child-friendly Justice System and Child Rights, The Best European and American Experience,” took place on November 20th, 2023.
