"PYP -The collaboration between the Georgian language and FabLab."

“In the European School Primary Years Program (PYP), students from the Georgian B subject, specifically from 3A, 3C, 4AB, 4C, and 5AC classes, undertook the task of crafting five enchanting fairy tales. The project unfolded through various stages. In the initial phase, each class conceptualized their story design with the assistance of the Canva site. The entire class actively participated in selecting characters and developing the narrative. Ultimately, students printed a single copy of the books and prominently displayed them within the school premises. The second phase involved a visit to the FABLAB laboratory of the European School, providing students with the firsthand experience of witnessing the cutting process of the first and last page designs of their books on a woodblock. To enhance the interactive aspect, I generated a unique QR code via the Canva site. Readers could scan this code to access how-to videos and explore stories crafted by other classes. The concluding phase comprised a presentation in the main hall, attended by students from all classes. This captivating project not only enabled students to deepen their understanding of the Georgian language but also empowered them to create fairy tales using contemporary methods and share their imaginative creations with a broader audience.”
