Trip to the Museum of Zoology
“As part of their exploration of the unit – Where We Are in Place and Time – IB PYP grade 4C students visited the Museum of Zoology at Tbilisi State University. As part of their inquiry the students were learning about discoveries in the field of biology and zoology and the museum was a perfect place for them to find answers to many questions. The students were able to see over 5000 objects including unique butterflies, insects, reptiles, birds, and mammals. As an integration with the Georgian B language class, the students bade sketches of different animals and birds exhibited in the museum and with the help of the Georgian teacher labeled them in Georgian. The students were fascinated by the wonderful collection they observed in the museum and learned more about the importance of discoveries in the field of Zoology.”
