Cultural embarking on an educational tour of Italy
Embarking on an incredible learning adventure, students from the American School Of Advanced Study found themselves immersed in the captivating culture of Italy while exploring the historical wonders of Rome and Florence. This wasn’t merely a fun escapade with friends; it evolved into a captivating journey of discovery, unveiling the realms of art, history, and timeless beauty.
From the awe-inspiring Colosseum to the ancient narratives echoing in the Roman Forum, their adventure unfolded across remarkable places like the Mouth of Truth, Uffizi Gallery, Boboli Gardens, Pitti Palace, and the exquisite sculptures of the Dioscuri brothers. Each step seemed to contribute to a vivid canvas of experiences.
The Uffizi Gallery unfolded its artistic treasures, the Boboli Gardens transported them into a timeless fairy tale, and the Pitti Palace exuded grandeur and regality. Amidst history, they encountered sculptures narrating tales of Bernini’s genius and explored masterpieces by Caravaggio, Raphael, Titian, and Rubens at the Borghese Gallery.
Adding a touch of magic to their journey was the students’ ability to connect the dots between their “Classics” studies and the sights they encountered. It felt like their textbooks had sprung to life! Guiding this epic journey were the exceptional Academic Dean Natia Tevzadze, Extracurricular Activities Coordinator Nana Mukeria, and chess teacher Ilia Tsetskladze
