European School Hosts Inspiring Student-Led MUN Conference

On November 29–30, the European School welcomed an extraordinary Model United Nations (MUN) conference — fully organized and driven by students from  American School of Advanced Studies, together with students of  the International Baccalaureate Program and Buckswood School. Led by main organizer Anna Kuzmidi from the American School of Advanced Studies and supported by a committed IB team, the event stood out as a powerful achievement in youth leadership.

Delegates engaged in dynamic debate, diplomacy, and negotiation across committees, producing outstanding resolutions that reflected deep research and global awareness. The conference environment encouraged collaboration, respect, and teamwork, with productive discussions guided by Chairs Merab Dzuliashvili and Nutsa Iremadze, and Co-Chair Marishka Goradze.

Behind the scenes, Ketevan Darchiashvili and Mariam Khaduri contributed to a well-coordinated and smooth organizational experience. The Press Corps, led by Ana Molodini and Anastasia Lomidze, documented debate highlights, interviewed delegates, and reported on committee progress throughout the weekend.

This MUN conference showcased not only academic excellence, but also a celebration of student self-leadership. Participants demonstrated confidence, initiative, and a strong commitment to addressing global issues — all central values of the MUN and IB ethos.

The success of this event reflects the students’ hard work, passion, and dedication, and serves as a shining example of how young leaders are actively shaping the world of tomorrow.
