European School Students-Winners of Essay Writing Competition
Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, along with the Association of German Language Teachers, organized an Essay Writing Competition on December 11, 2017.
The goal of the competition was to showcase different and diverse aspects of Georgian-German relationships and attract young authors and students in this regard.
The main prizes went to Giorgi Macharashvili (European School, Grade 12), and Giorgi Tevzadze (European School, Grade 9). It is particularly noteworthy that Giorgi Tevzadze’s essay “Parachute Dress” received the highest points and Giorgi Macharashvili’s research “Georgian Scientists in Germany” was also recognized by the commission.
Gert Robert Griuert, the head of the jury, the representative of Rhien-Erft Writers Union and the translator of Georgian Anthology, met with our students and expressed his positive impressions about students’ work and his excitement about their deep knowledge of German language.
