Hour of Code at European School
08 Dec 2017Hour of Code is a global movement reaching the whole world. This activity aims to involve as many students as possible into the coding process. The European School, with an initiative of ICT teacher David Nozadze, joined this movement and registered on the world map in that way.

French Ambassador Pascal Meunier at the European School
08 Dec 2017On December 8, 2017, Pascal Meunier, Ambassador of France to Georgia, and Jean-Yves Lavoir, the Director of the French Institute of Georgia, along with honorable guests, attended the European School’s celebration ceremony dedicated to the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Georgia and France. Historic moments from a century-long Georgian-French relations and those people who have deepened cooperation between the two countries were brought to life through the shadow plays, French songs, poems and stage plays.

Georgian Program Assembly
07 Dec 2017On December 7, Georgian Program of the European School held its very first assembly - an important, informative and entertaining event for students and teachers alike. Students demonstrated interesting projects in foreign Languages, plus, they presented an interdisciplinary project about the Egyptian civilization.

Activism against Gender-Based Violence
07 Dec 2017Students from IB MYP and DP decided to join the UN-led 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence. On December 6, 2017, they presented skits describing violence against women in various life-situations on the European School Main Hall stage, played a short movie depicting gender-based violence and sang an UN song "One Woman" to stand in solidarity with women from all over the world.

AHS tour at Georgian National Museum
06 Dec 2017On Tuesday, November 21 nineteen students of Grades 8 and 9 with Mr. Giorgi Tchumburidze and Mr. Joseph Blake toured the Georgian National Museum as a continuation of their World History classes. Accompanied by a museum guide, they explored Georgia’s ancient gold, silver and precious stone treasures and coins, the development of man from the Paleolithic to Neolithic Age, coupled with medieval armory, Georgian period clothing, and the Soviet Occupation of Georgia Exhibition.

The European School Team - Winner of Komarovi Mathematics Festival
05 Dec 2017On December 1-2 the exhibition center Expo Georgia hosted Komarovi Mathematics Festival, where 38 teams from 24 schools competed. The European School team became a winner of the festival.

Memorandum of Understanding between the European School and the University of Georgia
04 Dec 2017On December 4, the Memorandum of understanding was signed between the European School and the University of Georgia. Within the framework of the MoU, Geoinformatics resources and basic electronic maps will be delivered to the school; Davit Nozadze , the school ICT teacher will undergo an individual, intensive training course in GIS technologies; For 6 months period the school will be provided with the technical support and consultations for implementing GIS technologies in teaching.

Saving Natural Resources and Waste Processing at European School
04 Dec 2017Every year students at European School participate in “Green Week” event initiated by ICT teacher Davit Nozadze. This year, in the framework of this week, students met with representatives of the Environmental Information and Education Center, who discussed the importance of protecting environment; Children also met Sandro Asatiani, the creator of the first Georgian e-books, who explained importance of protecting natural resources.

Goodbye Autumn
04 Dec 2017On November 30, European School students of primary classes held event "Goodbye Autumn." The event was opened with grade 4 presentation “Rich harvest of Autumn.” Children decorated second floor hallway with their artworks. They also performed flash mob in the school yard.
