Composer Vazha Azarashvili in European School

On November 22nd ,2017 “European School” welcomed Famous Georgian Composer Vazha Azarashvili on his 80th anniversary. In the event introduction, Vazha Azarashvili briefly and with humor talked about his history of his work and then performed his own compositions. Also, in his honor, school teachers performed few of his songs.

G1 Trip to Museum of Animation

On Friday, November 17th, PYP Grade 1 and 2 went on a field trip to the Animation Museum dressed up as various Disney characters. Students had the chance to see their favorite toys, costumes and photographs brought from Disneyland, they watched footage of an annual carnival held in Disneyland. Also learned about Disney’s long history.

Little Cooks

Children in the Kindergarten of European School, within Transdisciplinary theme “Self -management” learned about healthy food, vitamins, how to take care of themselves and etc. The children took the role of cooks and prepared various dishes and biscuits.

Memorandum of Cooperation

On November 21st, 2017,Sophio Bazadze, the Academic Director of the European School, and Davit Lortkiphanidze, the General Director of Georgian National Museum signed a Memorandum of Cooperation between the European School and Georgian National Museum. The purpose of which is mutual cooperation in the sphere of education and rising cultural awareness among students.

Introduction of GIS systems at the European School

Professor Sergo Tsimuria, specialist in Geographic Information System (GIS), paid a visit to the European School on November 3, 2017. Along with the representatives of the ICT and Social Science Departments, Prof. Tsiramua discussed the significance of introducing GIS to the European School.

Field Trip to Uplistsikhe

PYP grade 5b has visited an ancient rock-hewn town. They saw different caves, the church and walked in the secret tunnel. After the excursion they had a picnic. Also, they met a new friend, a puppy, they've named Vanilla, because of its color.

Signing a Memorandum with Georgia Red Cross Association

For more than 6 years, the European School students have been involved in helping the Red Cross Association deliver community services. On November 17, the European School together with other Tbilisi schools signed the memorandum with Georgia Red Cross Association in Radisson Blue Iveria hotel. The Memorandum of Understanding will provide the foundations for strengthening and Improving Collaboration.

PYP Charity Action

PYP grade 4 students organized a bake sale to raise money for children diagnosed with leukemia. They baked some cakes in school kitchen.
