On October 27, National Cyber Olympics initiated by the Ministry of Justice of Georgia was held at the Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel.

On Friday PYP grade 4C students had an assembly in the main hall about the theme “Celebrating diversity”. The students had some discussions about similarities and differences beforehand that increased their desire to express their uniqueness and traditions by preparing small presentations.

On November 8-11, 2017, the 4th International Information Technology Conference on “Innovations and Challenges in Information Technologies” was held at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. The conference focused on the issues of cybersecurity.

The European School hosted Dr. Ken Walsh, the Dean of San Diego State University (SDSU) Georgia on November 16, 2017. Dr. Walsh presented the university programs to the audience and talked about advantages and a future of STEM education.

“Iveri Chelidze Football Tournament” finished at the European School. In different age categories the winner teams are: Grade 6b, MYP grade 8, grade 12 team from Georgian program. Top goal-scorer of the tournament is Mikheil Kvernadze, the Best Player-Nika Samushia, the Best Goalkeeper -Irakli Nebieridze. After the final games the Award Giving Ceremony was held at the school stadium.

Under the Teacher Professional Development Scheme the status of Mentor was awarded to the Head of Mathematics Department of the European School, Mathematics teacher Petre Babilua. Award giving ceremony was held on November 10, at the Main Conference Hall.

On November 9, Georgian program students from grade 2 visited the Printing House “Polyprint”. They learned some aspects of paper processing technology and engaged in a fun activity -kids made paper hats with the European School logo prints.

Student Parliament Chair Elections took place at the European School today, November 9, 2017. Students from all three programs (Georgian, IB and AHS) of the European School participated in the voting process.

Watercolor paintings created by the PYP students were displayed at the PYP Art Exhibition. Through their art, children expressed their perception of Autumn, a beautiful time of the year.
