CAS/SL Conference "Recreational Fishing and Conservation of Wildlife"

On Thursday, October 3, at 4 PM, Lado Sakvarelidze, a founding member of Fly Fishers International, delivered a presentation titled "Recreational Fishing and Conservation of Wildlife" for IB DP/CP 11th-12th grade CAS/SL students. In this session, Mr. Sakvarelidze shared and discussed how recreational fishing can be practiced in a sustainable manner to support wildlife conservation and the protection of natural habitats.

Student-Led Football Match: 9B Triumphs in a Friendly Game Against 10A

At ASAS, we always inspire our students to take the lead, encouraging them to bring their ideas to life. Our passionate football fans from 9B took the initiative to organize a friendly match against 10A, demonstrating their ability to plan and execute events. The match, supervised by the sports teacher, was an exciting event, showcasing both teamwork and school spirit. In the end, 9B emerged victorious with a 4-1 win. We're always eager to support our students' daily passions and ensure they feel empowered and fulfilled.

Building Bonds Through History: 6th Graders' Excursion to Dzalisa

Our new 6th-grade students, who have just joined the American School of Advanced Studies family, found the beginning of the academic year somewhat challenging. To help them bond with each other and their teachers, we organized a cultural excursion to Dzalisa, an ancient Roman site in Georgia. Dzalisa is significant for its well-preserved mosaics, thermal baths, and insights into Roman urban life, offering a unique glimpse into the ancient world.

PYP Workshop for Parents: Enhancing Understanding of Inquiry-Based Learning and ManageBac at the European School

The European School recently hosted a special workshop for parents new to the Primary Years Programme (PYP).  Led by PYP Coordinator Tina Gugushvili, the session introduced parents to the PYP framework, which emphasizes inquiry-based learning, encouraging students to explore and engage with the world around them. The workshop also provided an overview of ManageBac, the digital platform used for communication, assessment, and progress tracking throughout the school year.

Clubs Fair at the European School

Extracurricular Clubs Fair at the European School was a huge success!  From the thrilling Robots Show to the energetic Zumba dance we had something for everyone. Students explored the magic of storytelling in the Reading Club, enjoyed fencing in special masks, and unleashed their creativity in our Art workshops featuring ceramics, felt crafting, etc.

We are pleased to inform you that teachers from our school attended the annual Euroclassical Conference organized by the European Association of Classical Languages. This year's conference was held at Villa Falconieri in Italy, hosted by Accademia Vivarium Novum.
