On 28 November, students gathered for “Echoes of Thought, Colors of Soul,” a special event dedicated to Georgian poetess Manana Abramishvili. The evening opened with a graceful piano performance by Tornike Butskhrikidze (Grade 11), setting the tone for a celebration of poetry and art.

Our Grade 8 students recently embarked on an exciting educational field trip to the eastern region of Georgia, where they had the opportunity to discover important historical landmarks and deepen their knowledge of the country’s rich cultural and geographical heritage. This hands-on learning experience allowed students to connect classroom knowledge with real-world exploration, bringing history and geography to life right before their eyes.

Our PYP students, together with participants from our extracurricular Game Programmer’s Club, became the first group from Georgia to host an official Hour of AI event!

On November 29–30, the European School welcomed an extraordinary Model United Nations (MUN) conference — fully organized and driven by students from  American School of Advanced Studies, together with students of  the International Baccalaureate Program and Buckswood School. Led by main organizer Anna Kuzmidi from the American School of Advanced Studies and supported by a committed IB team, the event stood out as a powerful achievement in youth leadership.

The European School was represented at this year’s Cognia IMPACT Conference by Dr. Brice Bomo, Principal of International Programmes (IB and ASAS), and Ms. Natia Tevzadze, Academic Dean of the American School of Advanced Studies.

The Grade 5C students concluded their unit about the government with a powerful and meaningful protest against racism, showcasing their learning, empathy, and leadership. After weeks of inquiry and discussion, the students wrote thoughtful speeches expressing their views on fairness, equality, and the importance of standing up against discrimination.

IB PYP 5th graders visited a culinary school with their teachers, where they made traditional Georgian dishes such as khachapuri and churchkhela. The students pressed grapes with their own hands and made tatara.

In November, the little ones from our kindergarten went on their very first autumn field trip. The children curiously observed the colorful leaves, listened to the whispering wind, and joyfully ran around in nature.

As part of their summative assessment project for the unit “How We Organize Ourselves,” the Grade 5 students worked on a special initiative. Divided into teams, students were asked to develop a project or idea that would benefit the PYP community.
